Today, Etch, the Brighton-based producer and self-proclaimed "space cadet", drops his brand new EP, Cosmic B-Boy, and we've got the exclusive stream of its opening track "Pandora's Box". We came to find out that Etch draws influence from some rather disparate sources, including Kool Keith's surreal alter-ego, Dr. Octagon, Houston rapper Lil Flip and, er, Nigella Lawson. Purple City Soufflé, who will be releasing the EP, describe the release as "cosmic hip-hop" and given the off-kilter, slightly unsettling 8-bit melodies, it's a pretty spot-on description. If you buy the EP direct from Purple City Soufflé's Bandcamp, you can get it in a bundle with what's described as a "gateaux Nigella Lawson t-shirt", and a screen-printed poster of the main man Etch.
