Count Hot 97’s Peter Rosenberg among those not anticipating a meeting of the minds between Power 105.1’s Charlamagne tha God and conservative pundit Tomi Lahren. While Lahren canceled a scheduled appearance with Charlamagne, DJ Envy and Angela Yee on The Breakfast ClubTMZ’s cameras recently spotted Lahren and Charlamagne together in New York. Rosenberg weighed in via Twitter.

“It’s amazing that people are blind enough to think this dude is good for the culture,” Rosenberg tweeted, while posting a link to the TMZ article. “Please wake up.”

its amazing that people are blind enough to think this dude is good for the culture ... PLEASE WAKE UP https://t.co/0crIR2S9XF ...unreal
.... @Trevornoah @cthagod ... anyone else want to help make this person more relevant?! AS SHE MOCKS BLACK LIVES MATTER?! come on people
the devil dosen't always wear horns and a shirt that says devil guys...sometimes he wears promo t-shirts and light foundation

Rosenberg criticized both Charlamagne and The Daily Show host Trevor Noah for bringing more attention to Lahren, and speculated Lahren's looks were the only reason she was invited as a guest to either show. Rosenberg also insinuated Charlamagne was "the devil."

Lahren came under fire in the months leading up to the 2016 Presidential election for criticizing Black Lives Matter and her general support of Donald Trump. Charlamagne has been on the opposite side of the spectrum, leading to speculation that he should have nothing to do with Lahren. However, the pair confirmed they had dinner together and Charlamagne jokingly said, “Black lives matter” and “Black penises matter” as he held up a fist while on camera with Lahren. Charlamagne said his meeting with Lahren was in pursuit of a larger goal.

“You have to learn to have discourse with people you don’t necessarily agree with,” Charlamagne told TMZ. “I’m not gonna learn about her world, and she’s not gonna learn about mine if we don’t have conversations.”

After the jokes subsided, Charlamagne said he’d refuse to have a sit down with president-elect Trump if he were invited, and Lahren said she’d appear on The Breakfast Club next time she was in New York.
