After what some have described as a pre-Thanksgiving breakdown during his St. Pablo tour, a weeklong hospitalization, and various rumors, the latest reports surrounding Kanye West indicate the 39-year-old rapper multi-hyphenate is living apart from his wife and children.
Us Weekly cited various unnamed sources in a report about Kim Kardashian West’s concern for the two children she shares with Kanye.
“Kim is being very protective and doesn’t want Kanye around the kids right now,” reported Sierra Marquina of Us Weekly. “A second source maintains that Kardashian isn’t necessarily keeping the kids from West, but that it’s a ‘valid concern.’”
There hasn’t been much in the way of official statements from West or the Kardashians since West lashed out at the media, Beyoncé, and Top 40 radio during a Nov. 19 St. Pablo tour stop in Sacramento, California. West ended the show abruptly after the outburst, and fans eventually had their tickets refunded. One of West’s last known public appearances was a car selfie with a fan outside the venue in Sacramento.
In the weeks since the Sacramento show, the duration of the St. Pablo tour has been canceled. There have been reports of West being hospitalized at UCLA Medical Center due to an issue with his prescription medication.
During an appearance on Entertainment Tonight, Kendall Jenner said, “Everyone is doing OK, just praying” in regards to West’s reported eight-day hospital stay.
While he did not weigh in on the Kardashian/West living arrangement, Keeping Up With The Kardashians creator and executive producer Ryan Seacrest said there has been an improvement.
"I've spoken to Kim," Seacrest told People.com. "I've not spoken to Kanye, but I think that things are going better now."
Seacrest also confirmed Keeping Up With The Kardashians briefly halted production after Kim Kardashian was robbed in Paris. Seacrest added that production has resumed for the reality show's upcoming thirteenth season.
