Travis Scott is airing .Wav Radio live from his pop-up shop in Los Angeles this Friday. On episode 6, he has special guests Gucci Mane and Yung Lean with him to chop it up about their latest projects and much more.
After Yung Lean and Travis bonded over a shared punk-influenced aesthetic (Lean referred to Travis as a "punk rapper") and touched on Lean's rock project, Gucci Mane phoned in from Southaven, Mississippi, where he’s set to perform a show with 2 Chainz, Young Thug, and Young Dolph. The two talked like old friends catching up, diving into topics like their “Last Time” video that’s about to come out soon. According to the pair, Spring Breakers director Harmony Korine will be making a cameo.
Guwop also reconfirmed that his third album of 2016 is coming out on Dec. 16. The Return of East Atlanta Santa features “St. Brick Intro” that he premiered earlier this week. Of the album, Gucci says it’ll be a “big one” and that it solidifies that he’s “deadass back.” All of the build-up so far—from Everybody Looking and Woptober to the announcement of his upcoming book—is to show his fans that a 2017 takeover is imminent.
La Flare tells La Flame that in 2017 fans can expect Gucci Mane's first nationwide tour. He also plans on dropping another album sometime in the summer or spring. Last but not least, he’s working on re-launching 1017 Records and signing new artists. Once Guwop gets his own situation right as a solo artist, one can only hope that his newly formed 1017 squad is just as influential as his previous roster, which boasted names like Young Thug, Migos, and Young Scooter.
You can listen to “St. Brick Intro” on Spotify, below. Gucci even shared a Bryson Tiller collaboration called "Drive U Crazy," which you can read the lyrics for here and listen to it below. Stay tuned for the full audio of episode 6 of .Wav Radio when it drops.
