Ta'East

Ta'East is closing out the year strong. Earlier this week, the Los Angeles-based rapper turned up at ComplexCon with a special appearance during Virgil Abloh's set on the Pigeons & Planes stage, and today he delivers "Blackmale," a hard-nosed performance that highlights his lyrical depth.

Cairo Mayeson comes through with a bangin' backdrop that Ta'East uses to touch on the black male experience in America. "This is a retrospective look into the mind of a young black man learning his truths through trial and error while responding to the whitelashing of the progressive state of America," Ta'East told Complex via email. The song is especially relevant right now given the current mood stateside and Van Jones' salient comments on the issues behind Trump's political success.

Check out "Blackmale" below and look for Ta'East to deliver some more music by year's end.
