Parisian DJ/producer Kartell has built a steady reputation throughout 2016, primarily on the account of his remix work, mired in leftfield electronics and future house. Today, Kartell shares new music from his upcoming EP Last Glow. Forming the intro of the five-track set (due Nov. 18), "5AM" quite predictably came to life in a middle-of-the-night bout of creativity, as he explains: "I couldn't sleep one night, so I woke up, made the track from scratch and it was done by 5 in the morning. It came out as the right balance of what I want my music to sound like: somewhere between future beats and a dreamy approach." Carrying elements of deep house, alt-R&B and everything else in between, check out the richly-layered "5AM" exclusively below.
