Tyga seems like a generous boyfriend. Throughout his on-again, off-again relationship with Kylie Jenner, the rapper has showered the reality TV star with some pretty extravagant gifts: iced-out jewelry, designer handbags, and of course that Maybach. Obviously, he spares no expense when it comes to keeping his girlfriend happy, but many have have wondered: “How in the hell does he afford all of it?”
During a court hearing on Tuesday, Tyga was asked this very question, and it reportedly induced a full on meltdown. TMZ reports that the rapper became extremely ill, confused, and claimed to have lost his memory when quizzed on the amount of money he spends on Kylie.
The question was asked by Boris Treyzon, the attorney representing famed jeweler Jason Arasheben, aka Jason Of Beverly Hills.
In 2013, Arasheben filed a lawsuit against Tyga for an unpaid balance of over $185,000. His lawyers argue that if the 26-year-old rapper can pay for Kylie’s expensive gifts, which she loves to show off on social media, he should be able to settle his debt to Arasheben.
This is just one of the many financial issues Tyga has faced in recent months. Earlier this year, news broke that the rapper's Ferrari and Maybach were repossessed after he wasn’t making the monthly payments. He was also sued by a former landlord for allegedly failing to pay his rent and cover the costs of damages.
According to TMZ, Tyga’s lawyer said the rapper “couldn’t go on” after the question about Kylie’s gifts made him ill. The hearing has been rescheduled to Nov. 1.
