Compton MC Boogie first caught our attention with Thirst 48 back in 2014 with stellar songs like "Bitter Raps" and "Numb."

Two years later, the Compton MC is signed to Interscope and returns with Thirst 48 Part II, the sequel to the breakout mixtape. Featuring artists like K Camp and Compton legend DJ Quik, this project may be his most compelling work to date. Boogie has always been great at displaying vulnerability with his knack for lyricism and storytelling, but with this project you can feel the growth of a man who has observed and learned a lot since his early days of releasing music.

Boogie stated, "I've made three mixtapes about the same person, this record represents the changes in that relationship as well as the my own growth as a person and an artist. West Side" and throughout the project listeners are taken through the challenges that he has faced trying to balance his career and his relationship with the woman in his life and the dangerous environment he inhabits.

Stream the mixtape via Spotify below, or purchase it from iTunes here.

Also check out our conversation with him in Los Angeles as he talked where he came from, what he’s trying to do, and where he’s going.
