Earlier this summer, singer-songwriter and producer Autumn In June released the stunning and bold "Take Flight", a track made entirely on analog synthesizers that detailed a superior level of musical skill and understanding. The outcome, a textured slice of synth-indie-pop—married with live instrumentation—meant that we held on the lookout for more Autumn In June ever since.

Today, the follow-up comes in the form of "I Guess It's Cool To Be Lonely". Clocking in at nearly seven minutes long, it's a striking, slow-building slice of synth-pop music to get you all up in your feels. With the song's retro feel "inspired by '80s thriller soundtracks", Autumn In June also revealed over email that "I'm also talking to a lot of people at the same time; not because I'm interested in them, but because I don't wanna end up alone if it doesn't work out with the girl I actually like."
