Vince Staples is preparing to host a pair of private screenings for his upcoming "visual album" Prima Donna in New York and Los Angeles later this week. The Long Beach Rapper dropped the news on his Instagram account and then directed fans to his official website. There fans were greeted by the image of an old school cassette that when fired up spits out a recording of Staples singing a cappella on the song "This Little Light of Mine" before a gunshot blasts out.

Staples announced the arrival of his latest EP/film Prima Donna last week on Twitter. The follow-up to his critically revered Summertime '06 runs six songs and is set to drop on Friday, August 26 and will feature production from James Blake, No I.D., and DJ Dahi. It's six tracks will also feature A$AP Rocky and Kilo Kush. The accompanying film is directed by Nabil, who has previously worked with Kanye West, Frank Ocean, and more.

The New York screening is set to take place on Thursday, Aug. 24, while the event in L.A. will premiere the following day. The locations of both events have yet to be determined and the only way to get a ticket is by heading over to Staples' official website and entering into the sweepstakes. Rules state that applicants must be a 18 years old to enter, and the site itself warns not to enter if you do not live near one of the cities listed.

Complex has reached out Staples' representatives and will update this post with any new information.
