Canadian multi-instrumentalist Pomo is one who crafts dreamy electronic beats with tinges of hip-hop, house and a whole lot of funk. Much in the same vein as fellow Canadian contemporaries such as Stwo and Kaytranada, Pomo finding a home on the roster at HW&W is a perfect fit. Attaching his own flip to "Just A Lover" from Aussie singer/producer Hayden James, the original's deep house styling is pinned back in favour of a steady-building smooth funk jam, complete with a wobbling bassline and ice-cold synths which are patched in between.
