Last night, Kendrick Lamar was given the task of closing out the first night of the FYF Fest. As expected, K-Dot turned in a superb set brimming with sharp flows on some of his best songs from Good Kid, M.A.A.D. City, and To Pimp A Butterfly. To kick things up to another level however, midway through the show, Lamar decided to bring his TDE label mate Isaiah Rashad to the stage to perform his single "Free Lunch." The crowd went berserk at the sight of the Tennessee native as he and King Kenny collectively tore into the track.

.@kendricklamar just brought out @isaiahrashad at @FYFFEST 😭😭😭😭😭😭
Shout out to @kendricklamar for bringing on @isaiahrashad on ! What a dope set

It was a generous move on K-Dot's part to give some shine to an artist like Rashad, who's set to drop his debut album in just a few days on Sept. 2. Not much is really known about the album at this point, but Rashad has unleashed a trio of new songs for fans to feast on in just the last few weeks. In addition to "Free Lunch," he's also put out a song titled "Park" and another titled "I Mean."

Not many rappers out there are capable of going toe-to-toe with Lamar in such a lyrically dense manner, but Rashad demonstrated last night that he's a force to be reckoned with. Check out the video above to see the two in action.
