GAIKA

Yesterday, it was announced that Complex favourite GAIKA had signed to UK electronica institution Warp Records. With two hard-hitting, mind-expanding mixtapes under his belt (Machine and Security), the next few months to a year will probably see some pretty insane stuff coming from GAIKA. We slid into GAIKA's DMs to ask him how about signing to Warp and what his plans are for the future. "This year has been a roller coaster of emotions," he explained, "and to be honest, when I think about this, I just feel honoured to be in the company of Danny Brown, Flying Lotus, Aphex Twin, Kelela and Darkstar. Warp has a history of pushing boundaries and championing thought-provoking music without limit and I rate them highly. It is the only label other than my own I'd ever really fuck with like that. But I've been in warm-up mode—I've got some really, really interesting stuff happening over the next few months starting with this immersive show at Club 88 on Aug. 11 at Camden's Roundhouse."

Until then, tuck into new track "3D" below.
