Hot 97's Ebro dropped a huge bit of news on Ebro in the Morning on Wednesday that there is a rumor going around that Eminem is cooking up something to go after Drake.

Speaking about a private conversation with Drake, Ebro explained that he brought up the rumor. "I told Drake that I heard the rumor was that Eminem was gonna gear up to come after him. And he laughed and he was like 'That's not gonna happen. He'd never do that. And if he did, I got something for him too.'"

Of course, Ebro couldn't leave Drake's ongoing and very public beef with Joe Budden unmentioned either. Ebro said he brought it up and Drake was laughing before launching into Budden's many threats about releasing the direct messages between the pair. "That's why Joe ain't put at the DMs," Drake allegedly told Ebro. "The reason he hasn't put them out is because I said, 'I hope you get well in this tough time,'" which Ebro translated as "aka you strung out on dope or something."

This seems out of line with Budden's recent claim that Drake bet him an easy $10,000 that he couldn't release 25 diss tracks through a stream of some "passive aggressive" Instagram DMs that "sounded like a man who was very hurt and just didn’t want to talk to Joe or hear from Joe or just that relationship was over." Either way, we doubt we've heard the last of the Drake and Budden beef.

As for Ebro's reveal, there is no doubt that an Eminem and Drake beef would break the internet. For now, we'll just have to stay locked to see if anything goes down between the two rappers.

Bwahahahaha! Thats the humor

UPDATED 8/4/16 4:00 p.m. ET: Ebro saw that his comment on his radio show Wednesday sparked an outcry on the internet about a potential Drake and Eminem beef brewing and took to Twitter to clear the whole thing up. Apparently, the pair were discussing Drake's beef with Joe Budden over the phone and Ebro joked that he heard a rumor Eminem was going to jump in since Budden is signed to Em's Slaughterhouse under Shady Records. As Ebro put it, "It was such a joke and people ran with it...Slow news day. Drake got too much respect for all that." For Drake's part, he commented on the situation by writing, "If they don't have a story these days...🙄" Chec out Ebro's full response to the whole thing below.
