Here's a pro-tip: Don't make jokes about rape. If  something that you think is funny about one of the most vile acts of humanity happens to cross your mind, and you get an urge to share it - especially on social media - take a deep breath, think about it again, and then just don't. File it away in the deepest parts of your brain and then never think about it again.

One Twitter user recently learned the hard way that jokes about rape are not only the opposite of funny, but can get you in some serious hot water if you cross the wrong person. Singer/actress/model Zendaya stumbled upon one such "joke" earlier today that depicted her, alongside Beyoncé, Rihanna, and Nicki Minaj with a caption that asked, "If the purge was real who y'all raping?"

Rather than let the jab slide and turning the other cheek, Zendaya instead took the person head-on, declaring that the meme was, "absolutely disgusting," before asking, "Is this really what my generation thinks is ok?"

This is absolutely disgusting and you should be ashamed of yourself. Is this really what my generation thinks is ok? https://t.co/brqVohkX9E

For the most part, the people of her generation did not think that the disgusting "joke" was okay, and were quick to defend and applaud Zendaya.

im so sorry that you have to see things like this people are unbelievably disgusting
