When Sam Gellaitry dropped his astonishing Short Stories EP on Soulection last year, the world was infatuated. "Temple" in particular found its way into the record bags and playlists of just about every DJ going. Today we have news of a follow-up release, the cleverly-named Escapism II, and a lead track "The Gateway" has been let out the bag. "The Gateway" picks up roughly where the Short Stories EP left off with stuttering melodies and glistening synth washes that swirl around inside your head. Then, just as you thought you were in for more of the same, he blindsights you with a guitar solo. There's no release date just yet but the EP will be released through XL Recordings in the very near future.
