Born and raised in London, half Greek Cypriot and half German Sri Lankan, Chris Kaz is preparing to follow up the release of his "Save Us" single with not one, but two releases. The first is a collaborative EP with Brooklyn-based producer The 83rd called Sleeping Fires (from which "Save Us" is taken), and the second is the remix package to accompany "Save Us". Again featuring a sizable contribution from The 83rd (in the form of a Brandy bootleg), the remix package features three new takes on the single, the remaining two coming from Kaz himself. The original, a throbbing colossus of bass countered with heart-wrenchingly tender vocals, has been flipped into warped R&B, an awkward synthetic ballad and, finally, a darker, almost choral piece of electronica respectively. Take it all in below.
