Premiere: Sion's Remix Of Bon Voyage's "Don't Tread On Me" Is Steeped In Sexy

Sion filters Bon Voyage down to their purest, primal core.

Your day can't go far wrong when you're gifted new music from hip-house collective Bon Voyage (led by NYC frontman Shamon Cassette with Dublin producers The Supreme and Fono). Today, on the back of new single "Don't Tread On Me", we've got the exclusive stream of a remix from north Wales producer SION. It's cold, pounding and perfectly taps into the touch of sleazy sexiness that Bon Voyage inject into their music, filtering it right down to its purest core. What we're left with is a driving, relentless, unforgiving techno beat that lures each additional element to its flame; elements that at various times include a sample of Suzanne Vega's "Tom's Diner", a few rave synths, some nice round bass and a few other disembodied samples and clips that never quite come into focus. As with Bon Voyage's "Booshie" from last year, "Don't Tread On Me" has also found its home on Different Recordings—the label behind Felix Da Housecat, Tiga, Etienne de Crecy and Vitalic—and will be released on July 29.
