At the end of every month, we round up the songs and music videos by Canadians that were in heavy rotation. Throw some headphones on, kick back, and catch up on the gems you might have missed this month.
1. BADBADNOTGOOD feat. Charlotte Day Wilson “In Your Eyes”
BADBADNOTGOOD enlists one of Toronto’s most exciting new artists, Charlotte Day Wilson, for the incredibly soulful, “In Your Eyes”. The loungy track is yet another offering from the group’s forthcoming LP, “IV” which hits streaming services this Friday.
3. River Tiber “I’m A Stone”
The last few months have truly belonged to River Tiber. After snagging Zane Lowe’s world record at the end of March, the hunger for a mainstream debut culminated in rave reviews for the crooner’s debut album, “Indigo”. “I’m A Stone” blends scattered snares and a creeping bass line for a true album standout.
5. Jay Whiss “Lose Lose”
Prime affiliate, Jay Whiss, comes through sounding icy cold on his latest track, “Lose Lose”. Deserving an extra shout out here are, Lani Christ and MOSTHIGH’s Ahkilo, both of whom share the song’s production credits.
