Although Jay Electronica already apologized to Kendrick Lamar and 50 Cent for dissing them earlier this year, it seems like Ab-Soul didn’t get the memo.

Soulo was part of the special guests for the second annual STEEZ Day festival held in Los Angeles this year. According to LA Weekly, Joey Bada$$ and Pro Era had to move the celebration of the late Capital STEEZ to the West Coast because of a "'radius clause’ that Joey and A$AP Mob had with the Governors Ball Music Festival, which prevented them playing in New York."

During Ab’s set, he kicked a few bars a capella. He also went at Jay Electronica, rapping this line, “I was like a swami to Jay Electronica until he figured that Kendrick wouldn’t admit that he would body him for a milly.”

It’s not a huge shot, but makes a firm point: Kendrick is the superior MC over Jay Elec. If you remember, the Roc Nation signee had some harsh words for Kendrick during a Periscope session, saying, “Kendrick is my son, Kendrick is my baby, Kendrick wishes he could be me.” This came after praising how much he enjoyed K. Dot and Gunplay’s “Cartoon & Cereal.” Then came a diss track called “#TBE The Curse of Mayweather” that had a few subliminals aimed at Kendrick.

Only time will tell if Jay Electronica will respond to Ab-Soul. Jay Elec recently deleted his Twitter account, so who knows if he’ll even see this video. (His Instagram is still active though.) He’s been releasing music sparingly, appearing on Chance the Rapper’s Coloring Book mixtape on “How Great.” But if this is going to motivate him to drop more music (and possibly a diss track), we’re down for it.
