This weekend, Disclosure and Rudimental's joint endeavour, Wild Life Festival will be returning to Brighton for another two days of hedonism, and there's a huge amount to check out this year. There's always been a grime presence at Wild Life! but this year has one of the strongest grime line-ups to date—Skepta, Stormzy, Kano, Novelist and Lady Leshurr will all be there and then some. It's not just grime though: on Saturday, the main stage will see sets from Disclosure, Busta Rhymes, The Avalanches, Annie Mac, David Rodigan and more. While on the Sunday, Ice Cube, Jorja Smith, Rudimental and the rest will close out the festival. Elsewhere, on the WHP Presents stage, DJ EZ, Eats Everything, Four Tet and Jackmaster will provide plenty of 4x4 madness on Saturday, while Carl Cox, The Martinez Brothers and Dixon will do the same the following day. And that's to say nothing of the remaining three stages where, at various times across the weekend, you can catch De La Soul, Flume, Kurupt FM, Kano, Section Boyz, CASisDEAD, Pusha T, Kaytranada and way, way more.
One of the most noticeable changes in this year's proceedings will be the restyled VIP area in Paisley Park, decked out in tribute to Prince. As Piers from Rudimental puts it, ""Controversy" and "Sexy Motherfucker" made me rethink how I look at music, and how Prince must have seen music like Neo sees the Matrix. We couldn't name the party area of the summer after anyone else!" Expect all the usual VIP goodness—no queues, your own food and drink vendors, and the relative comfort that comes with escaping the crowds—as well as a special party in honour of the Purple One in Paisley Park.
It's going to be a packed weekend with far more to see than is humanly possible so it'd be wise to start planning your weekend out now. For more info and the possibility of the last few remaining tickets, head to the Wild Life Festival website.
