Now that we're knee deep in something you could technically call summer, Zinc has done the decent thing and connected with soulful R&B crooner Javeon to give us some much-needed sonic honey. Though he's been dipping back into the harder, breaks-led sounds that he made his name with, you better believe he still knows exactly how to put a house tune together. Even so, he and Javeon go deeper into the songwriting process. "It was only a matter of time before we got together in the studio," Zinc told us via email. "When we did, I had a few demos prepared for the session. The one he wrote was the result of a day jamming in the studio with my old keyboards and listening to some of J's music—he's got such a good vibe that I figured something more soulful would fit. So when he heard this, he was like: 'Yep! This is the one.'" It really is the perfect soundtrack to sneaking out of work early to get drunk in the sunshine.
