Influenced by the minimalist approach of James Blake and SOHN, London three-piece Kyoti present their latest effort "Curved Edge Straight Line" (due July 8). Rippling synths and rich tones flood "Curved Edge Straight Line", over which the band spin a sad story that maps their search for redemption. Ultimately, the track is a plea for forgiveness, "while accepting your own faults," the band explained. While there is a nod to the cold minimalism of Blake and the like, the band add a healthy dose of colour to the mix, as well as some truly engaging story-telling for a track that needs to be absorbed over many listens to properly digest the vivid imagery.
