Tonight, the 16th annual 2016 BET Awards are airing live from the Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles.

This year’s performers are a wide range of artists from the hip-hop and R&B world. Young Thug, Jennifer Hudson, Usher, Alicia Keys, Erykah Badu, Fat Joe, Remy Ma, French Montana, Desiigner, Tori Kelly, Future, Bilal, and Bryson Tiller are just a few big names to hit the stage. One of the night’s main attractions is Prince’s tribute performance featuring his former bandmate Sheila E., The Roots, D’Angelo, Janelle Monáe who are all slated to pay homage to the Purple One.

Last year, the BET Awards were hosted by Anthony Anderson and Tracee Ellis Ross. Some of the big winners of the evening were Beyoncé, who took home three awards including Video of the Year for “7/11/” Nicki Minaj and Chris Brown both took two awards each. Minaj won Best Female Hip-Hop Artist and Coca-Cola Viewers’ Choice Award, while Brown won Best Male R&B/Pop Artist as well as the Viewers’ Choice Award too. Janet Jackson was also the recipient of the first-ever Ultimate Icon: Music Dance Visual Award.

Another thing to get excited about is Drake’s nine nominations for awards, including Best Male Hip-Hop Artist and Video of the Year for “Hotline Bling.” Honorary awards will be handed to Samuel L. Jackson, who will be receiving the Lifetime Achievement Award, and Jesse Williams, who is taking home the Humanitarian Award.
