Premiere: Listen to GANZ and Maribelle's new song "Light Years"

The Dutch producer is back at it again with the Aussie collaborations, this time bringing Maribelle along for the ride.

Dutch producer GANZ has become well-known for blessing us with some seriously banging trap productions and remixes for Hermitude, Alison Wonderland and Snakehips – but with the lead track from his upcoming EP, he's swerving into a brand new lane.

On "Light Years", GANZ lets the beat build, but never allows it to drop too far off the edge; that might be why the song's electronic, orchestral vibe serves as the perfect intro for the Netherlander to open his latest solo effort, GAO.

The song features the inimitable Maribelle as well, providing a commanding chorus that manages to soar above the arpeggiated crescendos GANZ has stitched into this constantly-shifting production. It's just one in a long line of recent star performances from the 20-year-old Melbourne songstress, who is cementing herself as one of the country's most versatile and promising new acts.

In tandem with GANZ's most recent single "Lone", which features another set of local artists in What So Not and JOY., this new collaboration makes us thankful that the producer is clearly more than open to a foreign exchange. The GAO EP will drop on May 13, and GANZ himself will be hitting our shores for Splendour In The Grass and a whole bunch of sideshows alongside Tasmanian support act Akouo. Until any of those happen to come around, you can enjoy his fresh new single above and check the rest of the tour dates below.
