Classically trained from the age of 10, producer Jake Alder draws from a range of contemporary inspirations, in addition to his culturally diverse background, to produce a rich brand of alternative pop. For his latest single, "Long Lost", Alder calls on up-and-coming songstress Charlotte Turnbull, who, having made her Complex debut last month with "Sundown", connects for this refreshingly melodic, sun-kissed ballad. Pinned with a range of instrumentation, the track hops neatly between genre boundaries, acting as a winning vehicle for both the talents of Alder, behind the boards, and Turnbull on vocals.
