Meghan Trainor ditched the usual Tonight Show performance vibes for something a bit more candid Thursday: gracefully taking a tumble. Trainor hit Jimmy Fallon's stage for a performance of her Thank You single "Me Too," only to lose the gravity battle while attempting to balance herself against her mic stand. She addressed the fall on Instagram early Friday.
Thankfully, Fallon was able to jump into action and flip the whole debacle into a joke. "Safe!" Fallon joked before joining Trainor on the floor. "Almost every single dance move. Grabbing the mic is the toughest." The audience agreed, quickly offering the "All About That Bass" hitmaker a standing ovation.
Trainor didn't sustain any serious injuries during the televised fall, and she later assured fans that all was well on Thank You release day:
The official video for "Me Too" was pulled by Trainor on Monday after she noticed that her body had been Photoshopped to look thinner. "I took down the 'Me Too' video because they Photoshopped the crap out of me," Trainor told fans on Snapchat. "I'm so sick of it and I'm over it so I took it down until they fix it."
According to Trainor, she had a "bomb waist" the night of the shoot and was embarrassed that the video made it online without her approval.
