Brooklyn rapper Desiigner may still be new to the rap game, but he's already proven to be a hard-to-miss talent, with a Kanye West co-sign, a single that's already No. 1, and a contract with one of the most important labels in the industry—not bad for a kid who just turned 19 years old. By now, you've heard his widely-loved single "Panda" as well as his feature on "Father Stretch My Hands Pt. 2" off The Life of Pablo. But how did the song come together? Most new artists could only dream of waking up one day and having Kanye West spit a verse on their track. But for Desiigner, that's exactly what happened.

In a recent interview with the rapper for an upcoming episode of our series "Who Is," we asked him about the track and what it was like when he heard it for the first time. Apparently, Kanye had already put his verse on the song and played it for Desiigner when they first met at LAX.

We also asked Desiigner what the best piece of advice he's gotten from Kanye so far is, and what we can expect from the two going forward. To hear what he had to say, check out the video above, and stay tuned for the full episode of "Who Is" featuring Desiigner.
