The 2016 tour dates for Diplo's annual EDM festival Mad Decent Block Party were released late Monday. The tour will feature 20 shows in 13 cities, and will run from the end of July through the beginning of October. This represents a slight downsize from the 2015 Mad Decent Block Party tour, which included 22 shows in 18 cities, but it's still a pretty significant touring schedule when compared to the festival's humble roots as a free, single-day event in Brooklyn.

Mad Decent has yet to release this year's Block Party lineup, but it will likely feature a cadre of big-name EDM acts as well as some up-and-coming rappers. Last year, Mad Decent also commissioned 31 artists to create custom Bud Light cans for all of its tour stops. The EDM label has been growing its presence in the live-event space over the last few years, and also launched an annual Mad Decent Boat Party in 2014. Although attendance for that specific event was solid, 2015's Boat Party was derailed after a passenger jumped off the boat and was lost at sea.

As a label, Mad Decent represents acts like Major Lazer, Dillon Francis, RiFF RAFF, and NGHTMRE. It is based in Los Angeles, and was founded by Diplo in Philadelphia in 2005.
