Though he's been producing music under a range of aliases for around fifteen years now, Jay Raymann settled on the J(ay).A.D. moniker in 2011 and has since attracted the attention of Cosmic Bridge boss Om Unit who decided to give him an outlet on CDB, the new digital-only arm of the label. Om Unit's not his only champion, Boxed co-founder Slackk and multi-disciplined genius Björk have both lent their support to the producer, and it's no wonder. Clearly appealing to their love of dark and caustic electronica, "Send Off" (taken from his impending Keti Koti EP, due Apr. 29) combines big cavernous spaces with smatterings of jungle's rolling breaks and skittish footwork tom toms.
