Update 9:40PM: Post Malone also revealed the cover art for his new mixtape tonight. Additionally, Post talked to Apple about the situation. You can check out both below.

Update 7:50PM: Putting the whole rumor to bed, Justin Bieber posted an Instagram picture joking about the incident. In the post, he's seen with his hand around Post Malone's throat, with the caption "Backstreets back."

See below for original story.

Earlier today, a photo began to circulate of Post Malone and Justin Bieber at a club in Houston, with Malone's hand around Bieber's neck. Media outlets soon picked up on it and speculated the physical confrontation took place because earlier in the night Bieber put his cigarette directly on Post's arm while the Dallas artist was performing. Pretty interesting theory, but that's not what really went down, according to Post Malone, as he took to Twitter to address the photo.

"I love Justin y'all tripping lol," he tweeted. "He's my big brother and we like to rough house. If we was fighting someone would have done something instead of just sit around while the beibs gets chokeslammed." Post makes a good point, because a quick peek at the picture shows absolutely no one around them reacting to what would clearly be a huge controversy had it played out the way people assumed it did.

Along with shooting down the rumor, Post also announced plans to release a new mixtape soon. His debut album is still scheduled for release later this year, and Post and Bieber are currently on the road together for the Purpose tour. Check out his tweets below.
