James Blake was a surprise host on BBC Radio 1 tonight, and while he was there he gave us all a long-awaited update on his forthcoming album Radio Silence. As Consequence of Sound points out, during the show he revealed that he has finished the recording process of the new album. It's been quite some time since his last album, 2013's Overgrown, and his fans are surely ready for new music. A while back, he revealed that both Kanye West and Bon Iver would be making appearances on the album.

Even more importantly, he dropped a new song called "Timeless." The spacey track is classic Blake, with the UK singer crooning headily over dark, pulsating beat. "You know you slide out when you slide in with graceful shadows/Timeless," he sings. If "Timeless" is a good taste of things to come, then the album is clearly going to be one to watch for. He hasn't set a firm release date yet, but with the album supposedly being completed, it hopefully shouldn't be too long now.

You can stream James Blake's "Timeless" in the video above.
