After premiering “It’s Okay, I Promise” on Zane Lowe’s Beats1 radio show yesterday, Harrison and Clairmont The Second have just unveiled a music video for the track that doubles as a short film.

In the seven-minute clip, the filmmaking process gets some shine in front of the lens, as behind-the-scenes footage blends with a loose narrative, unfolding in alleyways, a blacklit poker game, a support group, and occasionally, subtitles. The Toronto producer melds heartsick piano chords with thunderous claps and synthetic drones, while Clairmont drops bar after bar of self-aware, confessional wordplay. This is the future of the Toronto sound, right here.

Watch the Scott Cudmore-directed visual for “It’s Okay, I Promise” above. You can download or stream the single starting on March 4th. Stay tuned for Harrison’s debut full-length, arriving later this year.
