Darkness' Eski Thug EP is still on loop here in the Complex office. His futuristic take on the classic, Eski motif worked out a treat, offering up barking bass lines and heady-synth goodness. The east London producer returns today with a new bite, "North Circular / Snake Way", which switches up the template to something more influenced by Joker's "purple" phase, with jittering bass, cutting hi-hats and swooshing, sweeping snares. "I liked working on these tracks because of the energy they have," says Darkness via email. "'Snake Way' is mellow and 'North Circular' is more frantic, but it's the heaviness and weight of the bass that ties them both together." Stream his latest work exclusively below and cop it via Triangulum here.
