Jay Z's music streaming service Tidal is undergoing drastic personnel changes once again as the company has fired its chief financial officer and chief operations officer. "Tidal has terminated CFO Chris Hart and COO Nils Juell," Tidal said in a statement to Complex. "As Tidal has grown into a global operation serving 46 countries we have moved our accounting and operations team to New York while our technology team and key support staff remain in Oslo."
This is not the first staff change at Tidal in recent times. In December 2015, Jeff Toig became the company's third CEO in less than a year. Tidal also lost svp of artist and label relations, Zena Burns, last year after just two months with the company. Chief investment officer Vania Schlogel also left Tidal last summer.
This news arrives on the heels of the company reportedly receiving a steep lawsuit for failing to pay artist royalties. Tidal issued a statement to Complex about the lawsuit and said that the company is up to date on all royalties owed to Yesh Music, LLC.
