Gallant comes through today with his latest offering, "Bourbon." The track opens up on glimmering electronics before the singer lends his signature buttery vocals, quickly steering the song into his piercing falsetto. The song's clincher arrives at the chorus when he whisks you away with a smoked-out croon about wrestling self-doubt with a sound that is clearly a nod to classic R&B. In an interview with Beats 1's Zane Lowe, Gallant revealed he took note of legendary songwriting duo Jimmy Jam and Terry Lewis for his sound. "Those guys are huge influences for me. It's really hard to honor those guys without trying to jack their sound or jack their style, but they were a true influence so I'm glad that came out on the record."

Gallant also took the opportunity to announce his debut album, Ology, will come out April 6. "I've waited a long time to say everything that I'm saying in this album and it's terrifying to think that people will hear it," he explained in a press release. "But I couldn't be more proud of this body of work and I hope people take it in a way that's as honest as I was when I was making it."
