Update 10:40PM: Foxy Brown took to Instagram tonight to clarify her position on Donald Trump, denying that she was endorsing the Republican frontrunner and decrying the New York Daily News for "sensationalizing" her remarks and ignoring her praise for Hillary Clinton and Bernie Sanders. You can check out her entire post below.

See below for original story.

Foxy Brown is the latest rapper to come out in support of Republican front runner Donald Trump, talking about her support of the New York businessman in a recent interview with New York Daily News. “No matter how many people sabotage his campaign, it keeps growing and growing and growing,” she told the news organization. “I know so many people won’t agree with me and will try to change my mind, but I’m a smart girl. I’m excited...I haven’t been this excited in so long."

Although Trump has taken a lot of flak for a series of statements many have called racist and discriminatory, Brown doesn't see it that way. “I know people say he’s a racist, but that’s just crazy," she said. She's been back in the studio recently, and according to the report, says she may be releasing a tribute track to him. Whether or not that surfaces, Brown says she'll be doing "a lot" for Trump in upcoming months.

Interestingly, she also told New York Daily News that, as a lifelong Democrat, she was also a big fan of Hillary Clinton and Bernie Sanders. How she plans to reconcile the wildly different views of these many candidates remains to be seen, but for now Mr. Trump can count Foxy, along with New York rapper Azealia Banks, among his shockingly large contingent of supporters. You can check out the rest of her interview here.
