Two of Toronto’s best new voices, River Tiber and Daniel Caesar, have teamed up on a blissful neo-R&B cut, which premiered earlier on Zane Lowe’s Beats 1 radio show. Tiber and Caesar each released a solid EP last year and both projects served up divine vocals over electro-acoustic experimentation. On River Tiber’s “West,” these thoughtful crooners have linked up for one of the most satisfying collaborations in recent memory. The record is produced by Toronto’s go-to sampling specialist Frank Dukes. This is Toronto’s next wave R&B dream team.

Dukes layers a looping falsetto choir in the background, while River Tiber and Daniel Caesar trade off verses, showing why they’re catching looks worldwide right now. They’re still Toronto’s best kept secrets, but it won’t last—this could be a big one.
