Super Bowl 50 scored a huge coup when they managed to tag British pop rockers Coldplay to headline the halftime show at Super Bowl 50 this year, but they won out even more when it was revealed that none other than Beyoncé, among others, would also show up for a cameo. If you remember, Queen Bey took her own Super Bowl turn in the spotlight just three years ago where, incredibly, she reunited with her Destiny's Child group mates Kelly Rowland and Michelle Williams. Recently, Beyoncé sat down with CBS for a very rare interview to reminisce about her Super Bowl past.

"It’s one of those magical performances you can’t recreate. I wanted it to be something iconic and something that people would never forget," she said. CBS also spoke with Hamish Hamilton, who directed the Super Bowl XLVII halftime show and as he recalls, "Working with Beyonce is interesting. She can be a very benevolent dictator, she can also be a wonderful collaborator. Through the process you meet both sides. She has such ambition to be perfect, to be the best that you just get swept up along in that.”

“It’s always important for me to be a strong woman,” Beyoncé said. “There haven’t been that many women that have done Super Bowl halftime shows -- I had to hold it down for the ladies.” Watch Beyoncé's interview below along with a behind the scenes look into the production of her show from 2013.
