When we spoke with Assassin last year, he was fresh off his "The Blacker the Berry" contribution on Kendrick Lamar's To Pimp A Butterfly, and back to working solo in Jamaica. Assassin's been busy perfecting "the type of dancehall that the hip-hop market can appreciate, with everything being considered with the language and the patois," he said. "I’m really trying to refine what that looks like."

Today, Complex premieres the earliest taste of such refinement. "Stronger" is the lead single from Assassin's forthcoming album, Theory of Reggaetivity, due out via Sound Age Entertainment on Feb. 19—so, Friday, two days from now! Listen to "Stronger" below, and pre-order Theory of Reggaetivity on iTunes.
