Sydney’s Papertoy showed early potential as the winner of Danny Brown’s “Grown Up” remix competition, and in providing the beat to fellow Sydney-siders Thundamentals' “Noodle Soup” in 2013.  More recently, having whipped up a collaboration with Cleveland rapper Atari Jones and producing the entirety of The Tongue’s most recent album in 2015, Papertoy is already on track as one artist to keep a close eye on in the new year.

Having now relocated to London to work with a variety of big names, and clearly inspired by his surroundings, he’s set out to remix some of grime’s greats – Dizzee Rascal, Wiley, Skepta, Krept & Konan and JME. Slapping his signature sound under some UK classics, the entire project is well worth a listen, even if just to hear what the intersection of Aussie hip-hop and grime sounds like.
