There aren't many positive things you can say about January, arguably the year's absolute worst month. One thing you can say is at least the steady stream of new music is back up and running. Today's gem comes in the form of a Mike Skinner remix of Chris Loco's "World We Live In", an emotive lament on the daily struggles we face. With powerful and unique vocals from Etta Bond, Kojey Radical and Avelino, both the original and the remix show each artist at their absolute best. The chirpy production of the original has been swapped out in favour of a dirge-like echo of January's unrelenting coldness, further underlining the somewhat grim lyrical content. January may be a contemptible month but at least we have these guys to help us through it.
