Jazz Cartier is coming off of a breakout year in 2015. He doesn’t appear to be slowing down one bit as the Toronto rapper drops off his first track of 2016, and it’s another amped-up, Auto-Tune-assisted anthem, courtesy of right hand producer Lantz.

"Phantom of the Opera is actually playing in Toronto right now so every day when I go into the studio, I drive by and see this big ass billboard," Cartier tells Billboard. He also notes that the movie version was playing in the studio while he was recording.

The rapper is currently in the studio with Mike Will Made-It, hoping to earn a placement on the hitmaker’s Ransom 2 mixtape. "From what I’ve heard, it’s pretty fucking monstrous," Cartier says. "He has a fucking heater on hands."
