Four Tet's a good sort, isn't he? Yesterday, Kieran Hebden announced on Twitter that his Text Records label would be releasing two brand new 12" singles, each of them a collaboration. The first, a partnership with Designer on Mothers/Dark and another with Champion, Flip Side/Disparate. Both tracks here are slow-burning jams: "Mothers" is built around a meandering, cerebral melody, while "Disparate" is a more rhythm-led effort with big, rumbling drums, brightened by a syrupy R&B vocal sample. Unfortunately, Four Tet hasn't given much detail on release dates, only that they would be "available on 12" soon from all good record shops." Stream them both, now, down below.
