It’s Holiday SZN, and what better way to usher in your festive celebrations than with a tribute to a Christmas classic. On the heels of a ultra dope collaboration with Little Simz, Toronto jazz outfit BadBadNotGood stopped by The Strombo Show to perform their version of “Skating” by the Vince Guaraldi Trio, a song made famous in the 1965 holiday special A Charlie Brown Christmas.

Saxophonist Leland Whitty joins BBNG core members pianist Matt Tavares, drummer Alex Sowinkski, bassist Chester Hansen for a faithful recreation of the original, with a little more room for soloing. The black and white performance clip is seasonally appropriate, with Christmas lights strung around the space, and the iconic Charlie Brown tree resting on Tavares’ grand piano. It’s more fun if you close your eyes and imagine Snoopy and Woodstock dabbing to it, though.

Get faded on the nog, and watch the full performance above.
