UPDATE 12/4/15: According to TMZ, Weiland's current bandmate, Tommy Black, has been arrested and charged with fifth degree drug possession. Earlier, TMZ reported that a small amount of cocaine was found on Weiland's tour bus. The cause of Weiland's death has yet to be determined. 

Former Stone Temple Pilots and Velvet Revolver singer Scott Weiland has reportedly passed away, according to a tweet shared by Red Hot Chili Peppers guitarist Dave Navarro. Navarro tweeted: "Just learned our friend Scott Weiland has died. So gutted, I am thinking of his family tonight."

TMZ reports that Weiland was found dead on his tour bus in Minnesota earlier tonight. Weiland was reportedly on tour with his band Scott Weiland & the Wildabouts. The cause of the singer's death remains unknown. Weiland's official FaceBook page later confirmed the news
