When we picked out the artists to take part in #GRIMETIMEWARP Vol. 1, we knew they all had something but we couldn't predict the year AJ Tracey, Jon E Clayface, Jammz and co. would end up having. Another name to add to that list is one of Clayface's partners in crime, Blessed. Today, he's dropping his new EP, M1 Stinger, and we've got the whole thing to share exclusively with you. The bold W.A.V.E. Gang identity sits first and foremost, as it usually does with any of the team's solo releases; Blessed is an MC as keen to promote his crew as he is himself.
As soon as opening track "Dats What I Did" kicks in, we hear Blessed predicting his appearance on Lord Of The Mics, which he did on Lord Of The Mics 7, and reminding us of all the career predictions that have come true. It's a hard-hitting collection with plenty of highlights but our personal favourite is the choppy, Lolingo-produced R&G cut "Oh My!"—though the Neffa T-produced, Ludacris-sampling "Spin Dat" is a close second. What we wouldn't give for a full W.A.V.E. release.
