Hilltop Hoods Announce Brand New "Restrung" Album And 2016 Tour

The Hoods have teamed up with the Adelaide Symphony orchestra for some brand new reworkings of their recent material.

Hilltop Hoods have announced a new album, Drinking From The Sun, Walking Under Stars Restrung, which is due for release on February 19th 2016. Triple J recently premiered a new track “Higher” featuring James Chatburn that will be officially released on Friday.

The project will bridge their two most recent albums, Walking Under Stars and Drinking From The Sun, and feature a selection of tracks from each – all rerecorded, remixed, and restructured with the 32-piece Adelaide Symphony Orchestra, and the 20-piece Adelaide Chamber Singers Choir.

To celebrate the release of this album, the Hoods will present “The Restrung Tour” in 2016 in five capital cities across Australia, featuring the country’s best orchestras and choirs, as well as support from the UK’s Maverick Sabre.

The band has made a behind-the-scenes video as a preview to the album, with a peek into the recording process of the album, which you can check out above. The album will be available for pre-order from December 8.
