The unidentified thieves who allegedly broke intoBig Sean's home in the Valley earlier this month apparently left behind a taunting message for authorities, TMZ reports. The burglars reportedly left a note at the scene that included an email address ordering Sean to contact them if he wanted his things back, though cops were apparently unable to successfully trace the account.

With the search set to continue, local authorities have reportedly turned the case over to a "special unit" within the Los Angeles Police Department for further investigation. As previously reported, Sean's team believes the burglary was clearly the work of some sort of inside job, adding that the suspects knew when Sean would be away in Dubai and somehow obtained a "clear layout" of the residence.

Thieves ultimately made off with an estimated $150,000 in jewelry and unreleased music, all of which was stored in a "mini-vault" inside the home.
