2 Chainz Helps Disabled Veteran and Single Parent by Offering to Pay Her Rent for an Entire Year

2 Chainz is giving one Georgia family a holiday season they'll likely remember for the rest of their lives. 2 Chainz and his Tru Foundation visited the home of a disabled veteran in Palmetto on Saturday, surprising the hardworking single parent with new furniture and an offer to pay her rent for an entire year.

"It's hard to keep gas in the car, food in the house, and do everything by myself being a single parent," Dierdre​ Plater tells CBS 46. "I am on a fixed income." Plater, who recently had surgery and has been looking for a job for nearly a year, was overwhelmed by the gesture of kindness. "I love to see stuff like this happen for other people, but I never thought it would happen to me."

According to 2 Chainz, a portion of the proceeds from his recently unveiled Dabbing Santa sweaters helped provide this gift for the Plater family. In fact, CBS 46 says, 2 Chainz is planning to use additional proceeds to help "other families in need" this season:
